Sarcoidosis

What is it?

  • Inflamations in any tissue of the body
  • Starts in lungs or lymph nodes, but can be in any tissue of the body

Causes?

  • Specific cause is unknown
  • Can appear and dissapear with no warning

Symptoms

  • Shortness of breath
  • Cough that won't go away
  • Can end up with rashes
  • Inflammation of the eyes

Who can get it?

  • Anyone. Any age, sex or race can get sarcoidosis

Do you have sarcoidosis?

  • The easiest way to tell, beyond the listed symptoms above, is any type of problem with any organ

Treatment

  • There is no true treatment because the symptoms come and go. When recommended to have therapy, this usually is just taking stress off vital organs such as the lungs.
